Increase the total trade volume between Mongolia and China to 20 billion US dollars by 2026

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, January 14 (Xinhua) -- On the 13th of this month, Mongolian Prime Minister Gon Zandanshtar met with Chinese Ambassador to Mongolia Shen Minjuan.  

Prime Minister Gon Zandan Shatar stated that Mongolia and China are friendly neighbors connected by mountains and rivers, and developing friendly cooperative relations is the primary policy of Mongolia and China's foreign policy. The two countries engage in mutually beneficial cooperation based on the basic principles of mutual respect for each other's independence, sovereignty, territorial integrity, development path, and fundamental rights, and are satisfied with this.
 

He pointed out that the projects and plans implemented between the two governments are of great significance in promoting the socio-economic development of the two countries and benefiting the people. He emphasized that Mongolia is willing to work with China to achieve the goal agreed by the two heads of state to increase the total trade volume between Mongolia and China to 20 billion US dollars by 2026. Both sides expressed their active promotion of transit transportation services for exporting Mongolian goods to third country markets.
Ambassador Shen stated that in the current severe international economic and trade situation, the stable trade volume between the two countries indicates that there are broader opportunities for economic cooperation between the two countries in the future. Ambassador Shen also stated that he will make positive contributions to the mutually beneficial cooperation between China and Mongolia.
